The Tesla Disc Turbine

215 pages | 2001 | PDF | 10,5 Mb Okay...every now and then I get the chance to sit back and look at someone else's work. In the case of this book, I was very impressed. I have spent the last seven years actually building Tesla Turbines and Pumps. Our research and our turbine launched a company (International Turbine And Power, LLC). I have a website dedicated to the Tesla Turbine (more specifically - the Works and Inventions of Nikola Tesla) and I have not seen a more thorough and "productive" book writen on the subject. Can you actually BUILD a Tesla turbine after reading through this book. In a word, with the right machining equiptment and necessary skills - yes. There is an entire section in the back of the book with very detailed diagrams that should yeild a working turbine, although (my note as an engineer) this turbine would need some improvements to run for more than several hours without major structural damage. What the book DOES do, and it's the first to my knowledge to do so, is it really encompasses Tesla's turbine (and pump and other types of similar units) in words and in a way that the novice or hobiest can actually understand HOW it works, why it works, see the diagrams and visualize how it works...all in all, for 9 bucks - well worth the price. See http://www.frank.germano.com for a more detailed look at this amazing invention from Nikola Tesla...but definately order yourself a copy of this book.
